Happy 22nd Birthday to Harmony!

On November 2, 1991, our daughter Harmony Anne was born! She has brought us much love and laughter since that day, and now she is going to give birth to our first grandson in December. How time flies. We love you very much! Happy Birthday!

Our little Pumpkin

Last Saturday we picked up Emma and took her to a pumpkin patch for the morning. What fun! She loved the goats and chickens, riding around in a wagon, playing "in" corn kernels, eating some donuts, drinking apple cider, riding the cow train with grandma, and taking a hayride! We love our little pumpkin, and are looking forward to having lots of fun together for years to come!

Last Friday was this ladies birthday, we had such a fun time. She is such a loving and giving person and we are so blessed to have her in our lives. We don't always show or say how much we love you, but please know that are loved and appreciated so much. xoxo

Welcome to the USA

Welcome Cankun Sun, or as she likes to be called, "Sunny"! We 

are so excited to have Sunny with us this school year. It is great to have

two girls in the house again. Both Kristen and Sunny are going to be

attending Cedar Springs High School this year. We are looking forward to 

sharing lots of new experiences and making new memories together.

By the way, today is her birthday too! How cool is that? 

25th Anniversary in Alaska

Gene surprised me with an awesome trip for our 25th Anniversary. We got the chance to go on an Alaskan cruise! It sure was beautiful. The pictures do not do justice to the beauty God created up there. :) Enjoy some of the pix we took. Thanks honey for the last 25 years and a the amazing vacation. Looking forward to spending the next 25 years with you!

They told us that we could only see about 20% of the icebergs. There was a special captain who came on board to help us navigate through all of them.

Back in Seattle. We enjoyed a ride on this 200' tall ferris wheel. It was cool looking 

at the city from the top. 

Kenowa Hills Marching Invitational

Last Saturday was a beautiful day to watch the Marching Band Invitational at Kenowa Hills....Kristen and the band did a fantastic job! We are so proud of her! Pauline also got to take some awesome pictures of them for the year book! Here is some pictures and video I shot with our new Bloggie camera that Gene won! I could only upload the song for the Africa piece...sorry. But if you watch for the drumline, Kristen is playing the smallest Bass drum.  Hope you enjoy!  

There are four songs all together. The theme of the program is "Celebrate Earth". Each song represents a different region of the earth.

 1. Ireland 2. China 3. Africa 4. America

During the China song, the drumline is also a "dragon"! Awesome!

Pauline won the Talent Trophy!

Kristen and Pauline have been at Live-In this week, from Wednesday night until Sunday afternoon. On Saturday night they have a show for all the youth to show off all their talents! About an half hour before the show some of the girls found out that Pauline has been in dance competitions all over Europe, so they talked her into performing...What do you know? Denmark took the trophy!  She was so surprised but excited! We now have the trophy on our game shelf in the dining room. It's so big, I teased Pauline that we might put Christmas lights on it in December....too funny!

Welcome Emma Jean!

We are so excited to welcome Emma Jean to our family. She was born September 22, at 12:30a.m.

 She is so precious.

Labor Day Fun

Thought I'd better get some of these pictures in here before the snow flies. The weather is changing so fast! This Labor Day weekend was a lot of fun. All of my girls were able to come down and enjoy the holiday with mom and dad. We even had a new daughter with us this year from Demark. Her name is Pauline. Her and Kristen are having a great time getting to know one another...here are some pictures of the weekend.

Saturday, August 11, was a great day for a Freedom Sound Reunion! We all met at The Shack in Jugsville, Mi. What a great time listening to the guys again! Those were some great days the Lord blessed us with.

I woke up this morning, came out to the kitchen and remembered that my living room is filled with sleeping kiddo's. :) Ryan, Evan, Kaitlyn, Allison, and Kristen are zonked out. I enjoy looking at all their angelic faces deep in sleep. So glad that they love to "camp" out in our living room every time they come to Michigan.....

July is almost gone!

This has been one of the best summers ever! We have had so much fun down at the lake and on the pontoon this summer. I love these summer "daze"!

Summer is flying by!

Why does summer have to fly by? With Harmony married and Amanda out of the house I thought things would settle down. NOT. Kristen kickstarted her summer by going on a East Coast Trip, then she went to youth camp the next week. Now she is going camping for a whole week starting tomorrow with her friend in Cadillac. My house sure is getting more quiet all the time, but still moving full steam ahead. Well, I guess you might as well enjoy it, and live to the fullest! Who knows if we might have tomorrow! Newest Member of the Family

Gene called me one afternoon at work and said that he had a puppy someone left in a parking lot and wanted to know if he could bring him home. I just laughed and said sure, seeing that we were interested in getting a puppy any way for Kristen. Speaking of Kristen she was so surprised when she saw him. Talk about smiling from ear to ear. She has named him Brody, and he has been with us now for 10 days. We all have fallen in love with him. How can you not with a face like that!

2011, The year of whirlwinds and blessings.

I'll tell ya, i'm very excited for this year! It has been a very busy one indeed already! From Christmas to bridal shows, to a shopping weekend, to now almost breaking a rib slipping down my stairs with our new puppy who has no interest doing his duty outside when its way to cold. It looks like we are going to have a whirlwind kind of year, and i'm excited to see God work and move and help us through it all. My prayer is that I will just trust God with everything and just watch Him do what He does best! Thank you Father in advance for all the blessings you have in store for us this year!

Test behind me!!

Yesterday I got to take my test for pharmacy technician! I PASSED! I'm so glad to have that over with. It has been a long time since I've had a test that big. Now I am officially a Rite Aid pharm tech!! I'm very excited but glad it's behind me!!

Aahh the cool breeze!

It was a beautiful day in Michigan today! So long humidity! We went to Lake Michigan today after church with some friends! Wow! The water was awesome!!! The waves were having fun with us as well! It was the most fun we have had there in a long time!!! I'm going to bed soon. Got to have Kristen and her two friends back to church at 4am! They are going to Cedar Point. Wish I was too!!
